Guest artist: Fabian Feichter
Between 24.4.-28.09.2024 Fabian Feichter exhibits his work Everything Loose (2023) at the Lasserhaus.
The project was created in cooperation with the Artgallery of Brixen and the Water Light Festival. It is an extension of the exhibition space of the gallery, which showed works by Fabian Feichter as part of the festival.
A kind of chandelier hovers in the breakfast area of the Lasserhaus, transporting those standing or sitting below it into a different world of water and light: whereas in classic chandeliers the candles are directed upwards, in Feichter’s work the LED tubes shine or hang downwards and spread their cool light throughout the room. The plastic elements do not refract the light like prisms made of cut glass, and yet the pendants are filled with a lively play of light, just like their historical counterparts. The pendants themselves are reminiscent of fossils. More or less complete remains of fantasy fish, snails and other inexplicable sea creatures immerse the viewer in unknown spheres.
